Scorpion is a prominent character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise. He first appeared in the original Mortal Kombat game in 1992.
His real name is Hanzo Hasashi, and he was a member of the Shirai Ryu ninja clan. He was murdered by Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) of the rival Lin Kuei clan. Scorpion was then resurrected as a specter, a vengeful spirit from the Netherrealm, driven by a burning desire for revenge against those responsible for his death.
Scorpion is characterized by his iconic yellow ninja outfit and his signature spear attack, which he uses to pull opponents towards him, followed by the catchphrase "Get over here!" He is a complex character, torn between his thirst for vengeance and his lingering sense of honor.
